Should we purchase a building in this market?
We were told by our commercial agent that in this mortgage meltdown market it is a much better idea to buy rather than look at leasing. We are looking for approximately 15,000-20,000 square feet of space and really like the idea of owning our own property, but we have no prior experience in owning and caring for a building of that size not too mention the additional work and construction that we would need to do inside. Any comments from other developers or agents regarding the purchase and management of this kind of property would be of interest... is it really better to buy at this time?
